RHB Bank is one of the major banks in Malaysia and offers a comprehensive range of financial products and services ranging from retail, commercial and corporate banking to Islamic products and services and electronic banking. With its Head Office at RHB Centre in Kuala Lumpur, RHB Bank has built an extensive branch and Sales and Service Outlets (SSOs) network of over 200 offices throughout Malaysia.
RHB Bank also has a regional presence in the region with branches in Singapore, Bangkok and Negara Brunei Darussalam. RHB Bank completed a series of mergers between 1997 and 1999. In 1997, the merger between DCB Bank Berhad and Kwong Yik Berhad was completed to form RHB Bank, and in 1998, the merger with RHB Finance was finalised. On 30th June 1999, the merger with Sime Bank Berhad was finalised. RHB Bank is one of the 10 Anchor Banks in Malaysia and, under its current merger programme, Inter Finance and Delta Finance will be acquired and merged in 2000.
Concurrent with the physical mergers was the systems integration of the merged entities. RHB Bank's business operations are standardised across all Head Office divisions and departments and SSOs, offering seamless products and services to all customers. RHB Bank was awarded the prestigious honour of being named Best Domestic Bank by both Finance Asia and Euromoney (1997).
