How do I apply for a credit card via rhbbank.com.my?

SignOn to rhbbank.com.my and click on the "New Application" link on the left navigation panel. Select "Loan/Financing", and the required type of credit card application. Fill in the necessary details on the applicaton form. Click on the "Submit" button once you're done.

If you are not a registered Internet Banking user, you will be able to find the application form under our Consumer Banking section.

Do I need to visit the branch to provide my specimen signature?

For online applications, you do not need to provide your specimen signature. We will re-use your signature specimen from your existing RHB Bank account. Just tell us which account we should refer to when you apply online.

Do I need to submit any supporting documents?

For online applications, we will process your application and inform you via a secure message if we need supporting documents. You can courier these documents to us.

How long will it take for me to know whether my application has been approved?

  • For new credit card applications, registered Internet Banking users will be informed through our online message within 5 business days after the application is sent.

  • For new credit card applicants (who are not already RHB Bank customers), we will process your application within 5 business days of receiving your application and supporting documents. We will then inform you of the outcome of your application in a letter sent by the Malaysian Postal System to the address provided by you.

  • For supplementary card applications, we will inform you of the outcome within 3 business days for Internet Banking customers. Other applicants will be informed by post.

  • Additional card and card upgrade applicants will be informed within 2 business days.

  • Our business days are that which are practiced in Federal Territory and Selangor.

Do I need to personally visit the bank to collect the credit card?

No, for your convenience we will courier the card directly to you. For security reasons, the card will be blocked and cannot be used. Upon receiving the card, you will need to call us to activate it.

Do I need to submit supporting documents to apply for a supplementary card?

No supporting documents are required if your supplementary card applicant has an account with RHB Bank.

If the person does not hold a RHB Bank account, you should print out the form, fill it up, include your supplementary cardholder's signature as well as the required supporting documents and send it to us.

Do we need to provide our signatures for the online supplementary card application?

  • Upon approval, the credit card (which is disabled for security reasons) is couriered to your supplementary card applicant together with (a) the Cardholder Agreement and (b) a specimen signature card.

  • Your supplementary cardholder then needs to endorse the specimen card and agree to the terms and conditions stated in the Cardholder's Agreement and return both documents (a) and (b) to us.

  • Please note that we can only activate the card upon receiving the specimen signature and signed Cardholder Agreement. Please allow enough time for the documents to be returned to us before calling us at 03-9206 8228 or the RHB Credit Card Customer Service Hotline at 03-2032 1111 to activate your supplementary credit card.

What is an 'Additional Card' and who is eligible to apply for it online?

  • For MasterCard holders, you can apply for an additional VISA card.

  • For VISA card holders, you can apply for a MasterCard.

  • You can apply online if you are a registered Internet Banking user holding a RHB Bank principal credit card.

Do I need to provide my signature for my online upgrade/additional card application?

You do not have to, as the signature on your previous card application will be used.

Do I need to submit supporting documents for my online upgrade /additional card application?

No supporting documents are required. Should there be any required, we will inform you via a secure message.

How do I request to modify my credit card limit? Do I need to submit any additional documents?

  • Click on the “Message” link on the left panel, then click on “Credit Limit Change”. Fill in your request and click on “Submit”.

  • We will pre-process all requests without any additional documentation and inform you of the outcome within 2 business days via a secure message. If we require any additional documentation, we will inform you.

  • Our business days are that which are practiced in Federal Territory and Selangor.
