Spoof websites are fake websites that are directed to by phishing emails.  These websites appear authentic but are, in fact, the mechanism for capturing your personal details.

These sites will often contain incorrect grammar or spelling, which is usually an indication that they are not authentic sites.

   

Warning signs of a spoof website

A spoof email will usually direct you to a fake website and ask you to enter your financial details.  Often, the link in the email will not match with the URL of the site it takes you to.

To determine if the Web address in your browser is a real RHB Internet Banking address, look for "https://" followed by "logon.rhbbank.com.my"

Real RHB BankAddress:
https://logon.rhbbank.com.my
